While working on the project, I\u00a0decided\u00a0to try\u00a0a different\u00a0edging, which\u00a0made\u00a0the\u00a0scarf wider, because I\u00a0didn\u2019t\u00a0count the number of stitches I had in each row. When I realized my mistake, I\u00a0regrouped and\u00a0kept going. For a more forgiving yarn,\u00a0I would have ripped it out. For this snaggy yarn, I just kept going.<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u00a0doesn\u2019t\u00a0make a difference how long\u00a0you have\u00a0been crocheting. Everyone makes mistakes. When you realize that and\u00a0don\u2019t\u00a0focus on the mistake as a complete failure but a learning opportunity, then you can just say \u2013 whatever and keep moving.\u00a0That\u2019s\u00a0what I did.\u00a0Next time, I will\u00a0not try a new technique\u00a0mid-project\u00a0and also\u00a0remember to count my stitches!<\/span><\/p>\n

The scarf looks ok, it’s just not up to my regular standards. It will keep someone warm, so that’s the most important thing.<\/span><\/p>\n
