\"\"Last week I talked about yarn subscription boxes and the desire to have enough to make something that I would want to make in the weights and I want, etc. I ordered some yarn from Joann with a coupon and it arrived.<\/p>\n

\"\"I choose some yarns that I had heard about because not all of them are available in the stores. I purchased several Lion Brand yarns which were on sale for my \u201cmystery\u201d box of yarn. The one I was most excited about is the Coboo, a cotton and bamboo yarn. I choose a bright, cheery orange. It is soft and silky, but not slippery. Then there\u2019s Shawl in a Cake, which seems to be a lighter weight of Homespun and Wrap Star which has several fine strands which you hold together to work with. I made sure that I have enough yardage to make scarves, you know my gateway project, in colors that are fun to work with.<\/p>\n

\"\"I didn\u2019t see any interesting yarn on sale during Amazon\u2019s Prime Day and a few sites were having sales. I almost bought a couple of the Lion Brand mystery boxes for $9.99 but they sold out before I made up my mind, so since they were sold out, that helped me with my decision. I\u2019m still interested in buying a couple of different yarns and trying them out, but I\u2019m not in any immediate need for yarn at the moment, but when has that ever stopped me from buying yarn.<\/p>\n
